Podgora has eventually grown into one of the most attractive places on Dalmatian coast. Located in the heart of Dalmatia, with its secluded beaches, this place is amazing tourist oasis. Podgora has picturesque harbor with fishing boats. Beautiful stone promenade follows the waterfront along the whole town. Courtyards homes and apartments are full of Mediterranean plants and fruits: oranges, lemons and mandarines. "Seagull wings" monument located above the harbor, was built in 1962 to commemorate the founding of the victorious anti-fascist Dalmatian navy in World War II. Podgora has always been known as a fishing center. The port is still full of fishing boats and other fishing vessels that give Podgora a special charm.
